J.D. Martinez Over 1.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs +100 (DraftKings)

Over the last 14 days, Martinez is one of the hottest hitters in the MLB. He is 5th in OPS, 12th in batting average, 7th in runs scored, and 1st in RBIs. Tonight, he faces a familiar foe from his AL East days – Luis Severino. In his career, Martinez is 8-20 (.400) against Severino, his xBA is .338, and his xSLG is .571. In two starts this season, Severino has only allowed five combined hits and three combined runs, but that was against the then-struggling Reds and Padres. LAD is 1st in team wRC+ in the last two weeks and 1st in OPS. With Martinez expected to hit in the four-hole again today, he is in a prime spot to do damage and go over.

Jordan Lyles Under 4.5 Strikeouts -127 (Caesars)

In 61.2 innings pitched this season, Lyles has just 45 strikeouts. He has gone over this number four times in 11 starts, with two of those starts being against the same White Sox team and another being on April 6th. When the Rockies are away from Coors Field, 11 of the 19 starting righties they faced have gone under this number. Lyles is in the 14th percentile for K rate, the 11th for whiff%, and the 45th for chase rate. Colorado chases well above the league average, but they are 18th in K rate the last two days, and overall they are 22nd in K rate against right-handed pitching. Asking Lyles for five strikeouts is too much to ask for.

Jameson Taillon Over 3.5 Strikeouts -160 (PointsBet)

Taillon has had a terrible start to his Cubs tenure, but tonight is a great night for him to rack up strikeouts. Taillon has gone over this number in 5/8 starts, he is in the 42nd percentile for K rate, the 19th for whiff%, and the 63rd for chase rate. The Padres offense seems to be coming back to life, but they are traveling back from Miami to San Diego for this game, so it is very possible they are fatigued. San Diego has the 10th-highest K rate in the last 14 days and the 7th-highest K rate against right-handed pitching overall. Though it has been tough sledding for Taillon, this is a good spot to back him.
