Zac Gallen Over 6.5 Strikeouts +110 (FanDuel)
Gallen has not gone over this number in his last three starts, but considering Gallen is a much better strikeout pitcher at home, he should be able to rack up seven strikeouts against the Cardinals. Gallen’s K rate at home is 30.2%, and in 24 PA against the current Cardinals’ roster, Gallen has a 37.5% K rate. St. Louis is not the easiest team to ring up, but Gallen should be able to rack up seven strikeouts today at home.
Sandy Alcantara Over 5.5 Strikeouts -128 (FanDuel)
Alcantara is not a strikeout pitcher, but he induces chases at an elite rate, and the Rays chase and strike out a lot. Alcantara is in the 91st percentile in chase rate and the 50th in whiff%. Over the past five days, the Rays have a 25.5% K rate. Also, Tampa Bay is 7th in swinging strike% over that same time. On the season, the Rays are 7th in O-swing%, which is where Alcantara thrives. Sandy has gone over this number eight times this season, and he should be able to do so again today.
Marcus Stroman Over 4.5 Strikeouts -110 (BetMGM)
Stroman is not a strikeout pitcher, but the White Sox are in such bad form that this is a great matchup for him. The White Sox are 9th in K rate over the last five days, and they have the 2nd highest chase rate with the 6th lowest O-Contact%. Stroman has gone over this number in 15/21 starts this season, and this is a great matchup for him to go over it again.
