Martin Perez Under 4.5 Strikeouts -130 (FanDuel)

In 61 innings of work this season, Perez only has 44 strikeouts, so I expect he has a hard time striking out Cardinals tonight at home. He has had five or more strikeouts in just 4/11 starts this season, and he has not had more than five in his last two starts. Perez is in the 12th percentile for K rate, the 9th for whiff percentage, but the 73rd for chase rate. The Cardinals chase below the league average, they have the 22nd-highest K rate since April 23rd and the 24th-highest K rate on the road this season. Perez should certainly go under this number.

JP Sears Under 4.5 Strikeouts -148 (BetRivers)

Sears has gone over this number in 5/11 starts this season, but this is not a great matchup for him to go over it again. Sears is in the 44th percentile for K rate, the 47th for whiff%, and the 79th for chase rate. The Pirates have the 23rd-highest K rate vs. left-handed pitching this season, and they chase at the 2nd-lowest rate in the MLB. Considering the Pirates play better and strike out less at home, Sears should have trouble going over this number.

Kyle Hendricks Over 3.5 Strikeouts -121 (BetRivers)

In two starts this season, Hendricks went over this number once and just missed it the second time. Hendricks is not a great strikeout pitcher now, but he has a good matchup tonight in San Diego. The Padres are 7th in K rate over the last 10 days, and Hendricks has a 22.2% K rate vs. the current Padres roster. Considering the form the Padres offense is in, it should not be too difficult for Hendricks to get four or more strikeouts.
