MLB Player Props – Best Bets for 6/30

There is a loaded MLB card today with some great matchups, so naturally, we need to find player props to bet on. What are the best MLB player props to bet on today? Let’s dive in.

MLB Player Props – Best Bets

Dean Kremer Over 5.5 Strikeouts -136 (FanDuel)

Dean Kremer is not a strikeout pitcher. He is in just the 33rd percentile for K rate, the 33rd for whiff%, and the 11th for chase rate. Still, he has gone over this number in two of his last three starts. Also, when you play the Twins, you don’t need to be a strikeout pitcher to have success. The Twins have the highest strikeout percentage against righties this season and the second-highest K rate on the road. Over the last week, the Twins still strike out at a 27.7% clip, so they are not seeing any positive strides. Until the Twins stop swinging and missing as often as they do, they are as close to an auto fade as it gets.

Juan Soto to Score a Run -143 (Caesars)

On the season, Graham Ashcraft allows a .295 batting average against lefties with an 8.4% walk rate. During the season, Soto has a .449 on-base percentage, and he bats .293 against right-handed pitching. Great American Ball Park is a hitter’s park, and the total for this game is 11 runs. Ashcraft is in the 29th percentile for hard-hit balls, the 3rd for xBA, the 20th for xSLG, the 36th for walk percentage, and the 12th for K rate. All this adds up to Ashcraft being very hittable, and there is an expectation that runs will be scored. Soto, who should be batting 2nd, has a great chance to get on base and add to his team-leading 31 runs against righties.

Shane McClanahan Over 6.5 Strikeouts -134 (FanDuel)

McClanahan left his last start with some discomfort, but he is ready to rock tonight in Seattle. McClanahan has not gone over this number in any of his last four starts after clearing this number in his three starts before that. The Mariners have a 26.9% K rate against left-handed pitching on the season, and they are striking out at a 26.2% clip over the last week. Patrick Corbin rang up nine Mariners the last time they faced a lefty, and his numbers do not compare to McClanahan’s. Shane is in the 71st percentile for K rate, the 91st for whiff%, and the 87th for chase rate. The Mariners whiff at the 5th highest rate in the league, and they chase above the league average.
