Logan Gilbert Under 5.5 Strikeouts -122 (FanDuel)

Gilbert is averaging over a strikeout per inning pitched, but he has a tough matchup today against a contact-heavy Nationals team. Gilbert has only gone over this number in one of his last five starts. Despite Washington striking out a lot in the first two games of this series, Gilbert has a worse K percentage than the other starters Washington went against this series. The Nationals strike out one of the least of any teams in baseball against righties, and they should put up a fight in the batter’s box today.

Logan Allen Over 4.5 Strikeouts +100 (BetMGM)

After starting off his rookie season by racking up a lot of strikeouts, Allen’s strikeout production has dropped. However, tonight he has a great matchup to ring up strikeouts against the Royals. Allen is in the 57th percentile for chase rate this season, and the Royals chase the 5th most of any team in the MLB. The Royals have a 24.4% K rate against lefties on the season and a 29% K rate over the last 10 days. This is a great matchup for Allen to go over this lower number.

Starling Marte Over 1.5 Total Bases +130 (BetMGM)

Marte has not had a great season, but he sees opposing starter Wade Miley very well, so this is a great matchup for him. In 25 at-bats vs. Miley, Marte is 10-25 with a double and a home run. On the season, Marte is batting .291 against left-handed pitching with 23 hits and a 96 wRC+. Marte’s ISO is down this season, but this is a good matchup for him to get back on track.
