Corbin Burnes Under 6.5 Strikeouts -135 (BetMGM)

After a slow start striking people out this season, Corbin Burnes has struck out seven batters in his last two starts. He is now in the 43rd percentile for K rate, the 72nd for whiff%, and the 58th for chase rate. Houston has struck out at a 23.3% clip to right-handed pitching over the last two weeks. However, despite Houston’s uptick in striking out and Burnes’ uptick in throwing strikeouts, seven is a tough number to get against this Astros team. They whiff below the league average, and they put up tough at-bats.

Luis Castillo Over 7.5 Strikeouts -125 (DraftKings)

Castillo has been a strikeout machine this season, and he has an easy matchup tonight in that department. He has only gone over this number three times this season, but he is in the 76th percentile for K rate, the 73rd for whiff%, and the 80th for chase rate. Even when Castillo gets hit hard like he was last week, he still racks up Ks. The A’s have five or six guys who strike out over 21% of the time in their projected lineup, and they have a team strikeout rate of 25.3% against righties over the last two weeks.

Brandon Williamson Under 4.5 Strikeouts -148 (BetRivers)

Williamson had an impressive MLB debut. He struck out six Rockies in 5.2 innings of work, and he only allowed one run on two hits at Coors Field. However, now he has to take on a much better offense today. The Cardinals are red hot, they only have a 19.4% K rate against righties over the last two weeks, and they are below the league average in whiff%. Williamson should be ready for a rude awakening in his 2nd start this season.
