Eury Perez Over 4.5 Strikeouts -115 (FanDuel)

Eury Perez was beyond impressive in his MLB debut, and I expect him to keep it up today at home against the Nationals. In Perez’s debut, he fanned seven Reds. However, despite his amazing first start, this line is exactly what it was before we knew he could strike out MLB-caliber talent. It makes sense – the Reds strike out a ton more than the Nationals, but are we sure Washington isn’t in for some regression? The Nationals struck out six times to Edward Caberea yesterday, and they chase more than the league average. Perez’s 6’8” frame makes it tough for hitters to see, and since the Nationals have never seen him pitch, I think the edge lies with Perez to go over this modest number.

Taj Bradley Over 4.5 Strikeouts +114 (FanDuel)

Taj Bradley was sent down to AAA ball after an amazing start to the season, but now he is back, and I expect him to seek vengeance. He has gone over this number in all three of his MLB starts, and he will have his work cut out for him today. New York is 28th in the MLB in K rate against righties, but they have not seen a strikeout righty pitcher since they fanned four times to Hunter Greene. However, at the beginning of the month, they fanned eight times to Spencer Strider and six times to Charlie Morton. At plus money, considering Bradley is in the 98th percentile for K rate, I like him to go over this number today.

Jose Berrios Under 5.5 Strikeouts -125 (BetMGM)

Jose Berrios, outside from last season, has always been a good pitcher. However, racking up strikeouts in bulk has not been his thing in his career, not this season. Berrios has gone over this number four times this season in eight starts, but ringing up six Yankees is a tall task. Berrios is only in the 49th percentile for K rate, the 61st for whiff%, and the 55th for chase rate. New York whiffs and chases below the league average, they are 21st in K rate against righties and 25th in K rate on the road. This current Yankees roster is familiar with Berrios, so I do not see him ringing up six batters today.
