MLB Player Props – Best Bets for Tuesday, April 11th

After an exciting Monday full of action in The Show, we are back with a loaded, 15-game Tuesday slate. Where is there value in the MLB Player Props markets today? Let’s take a look.

MLB Player Props – Best Straight Bets

Grayson Rodriguez Over 4.5 Strikeouts -140 (BetMGM)

Grayson Rodriguez is making just his second career start in The Show, but oddsmakers are already mispricing his strikeout line. Rodriguez rang up five Rangers in five innings of work in his debut, and that was after getting off to a shaky start and settling in. I do not expect Rodriguez, in his home debut, to need a ramp-up period. The A’s have a 27.1% K rate against righties this season, so I expect Rodriguez to go over his total tonight.

Mike Trout Over 1.5 Total Bases +106 (Pinnacle)

Mike Trout has a great matchup against the Nationals’ Josiah Gray tonight. While Trout has never gotten a hit off of Gray in three tries, the numbers support that ending tonight. Last season, Gray had a 5.58 FIP on the road, and he had a 2.11 HR/9. While Gray has been solid in two outings this year, I expect Trout to get the better of him in at least one at-bat tonight.

Alec Bohm Over 1.5 Total Bases +140 (DraftKings)

Alec Bohm has been off to a monster start this season, and a lot of that start has to do with his production against lefties. In 14 plate appearances against left-handed pitching this season, Bohm has a 234 wRC+, a .462 batting average, a 40.0% hard-hit rate, and a .556 batting average on balls in play. Bohm has a great matchup against Miami’s Jesus Luzardo, and I expect him to go over this total.

Matt Olson Over 1.5 Total Bases +108 (Pinnacle)
Olson has been hot to start the year, and he is seeing righties very, very well. Olson has a 240 wRC+ against right-handed pitching, and a .421 batting average on balls in play, a .393 batting average, a .429 ISO, and a 36.4% hard-hit rate. Luis Cessa, Cincinatti’s starter, has a 6.40 FIP against lefties so far this season. I like Olson to barrel up a ball tonight at home against the Reds.
