Notes...Might not be able to fill allotted berths if two league schools (likely WVU & Louisville) earn BCS invitations. Gator slot also available to Big XII.

BIG TEN: Bowl-bound...Ohio State (BCS title game), Michigan (BCS/BCS Rose), Wisconsin (Capital One/BCS), Penn State (Outback/Capital One), Purdue (Alamo/Insight), Iowa (Champs Sports/Insight), Minnesota (Motor City/Champs Sports). Notes...With two Big Ten teams guaranteed spots in BCS, and only 5 others bowl-eligible, the league will only be able to fill 5 of its 6 other tie-ins (Champs Sports or Motor City likely unfilled).

BIG XII: Bowl-bound...Texas (BCS/Cotton), Nebraska (Holiday/BCS/Cotton), Oklahoma (Cotton/Gator/BCS), Texas A&M (Alamo/Holiday/Sun/Gator), Texas Tech (Sun/Texas/Independence), Missouri (Independence/TexasBIG XII: /Sun), Oklahoma State (Texas/ Independence). Notes...Kansas State & Kansas are each bowl-eligible and either could land in one of the other bowls. Gator slot also available to Big East.

CONFERENCE USA: Bowl-bound...Houston (Liberty/Armed Forces), Southern Miss (Liberty/Birmingham), East Carolina (GMAC/Papajohns.com), Tulsa (Papajohns.com/Armed Forces/GMAC), Rice (New Orleans/GMAC). Notes...SMU also bowl-eligible; UTEP needs one more win to become so.

INDEPENDENTS: Bowl-bound...Notre Dame (BCS), Navy (Meineke Car Care).

MAC: Bowl-bound...Ohio(GMAC/Motor City), Central Michigan (Motor City/GMAC), Northern Illinois (International/Papajohns.com), Western Michigan (Papajohns.com/International). Notes...Kent State is also bowl-eligible; Akron becomes so with one more win. Either could figure as a safety net for any bowl that cannot fill slot with eligible conference tie-in.

MOUNTAIN WEST: Bowl-bound...BYU (Las Vegas), Utah (Poinsettia/Armed Forces), TCU (Armed Forces/Poinsettia), Wyoming (New Mexico). Notes...New Mexico becomes bowl-eligible with one more win and would figure to net invitation to new hometown bowl in Albuquerque if eligible. Air Force needs to win its final two games to become bowl-eligible.

PACIFIC 10: Bowl-bound...Southern Cal (BCS), Cal (Holiday), Oregon State (Sun/Las Vegas), Oregon (LasVegas/Sun/Hawaii), UCLA (Hawaii/Emerald/Las Vegas), Arizona (Emerald/Hawaii). Notes...Arizona State and Washington State also bowl-eligible and either could land at-large spot in Poinsettia or fill an opening elsewhere.

SOUTHEASTERN: Bowl-bound...Florida (BCS/Capital One), Arkansas (BCS/Capital One), LSU Outback/Capital One), Auburn (Cotton/Chick fil-A/Outback), Tennessee (Chick fil-A/Cotton/Liberty), South Carolina (Liberty/Music City), Georgia (Music City/Independence), Kentucky (Independence/Music City). Notes...Alabama also bowl-eligible. Loser of Arkansas-Florida conference title game still could receive BCS berth.

SUN BELT: Middle Tennessse State earns New Orleans Bowl berth with win vs. Troy Saturday.

WAC: Bowl-bound...Boise State (BCS/MPC Computers), Hawaii (Sheraton Hawaii), nNevada (MPC Computers/New Mexico), San Jose State (New Mexico). Notes...Should Nevada beat Boise State in season finale, Broncos miss BCS and likely stay home for MPC Computers (though Broncos could “trade up” to another bowl). Wolf Pack likely invited to MPC Computers as long as Boise State isn’t, otherwise Nevada ends up in new Albuquerque bowl game (New Mexico). In latter scenario, San Jose State could possibly land at-large berth in Poinsettia.
